What a holiday. Thank you everyone that helped to make it possible. I don’t think we stayed anywhere for longer than a day or two at a time. Jon joined us from London for the first 2 parts of the amazing race. We saw a few things in and around Jozi – Soweto, the City centre and a fantastic Porra wedding just outside town before we flew to George in the Eastern Cape. We used the oldies holiday home in Plettenberg Bay as base camp and drove the garden route to Cape Town and Port Elizabeth for the 2 games we had tickets for.

Not enough time is all I have to say.  We needed at least another 2 weeks to do everything I wanted to do there – NEXT TIME !!

Kampsbaai in Cape Town for sun downers – Some wine tasting in Stellenbosch – Drinks at the Waterfront before the game at an awesome new stadium. Thanks Christoff for letting us stay with you. Please let me return the favour if you are ever on this side of the water. Was great to see you Carla – Please come visit !

Lost the hire car’s keys on the beach in Jeffreys Bay 2 hours before the game started in Port Elizabeth. Found the keys ( Thanks Jon ) drove to PE. Checked in, drove to the Bus station, Got the bus to the stadium,  bought beer and sat down before the game began ! Bumped into Andrew Hunter, whom I haven’t seen since uni – 18 years ago – and ended up in a nice student bar for a few cheeky rum and cokes after the game. Good to see you Andrew – Lets not wait 18 years for the next round !

Here Jon left us and we went on Safari – Zebula and Sabi. I’ll leave it to the photos to explain. Thanks everyone for making such a effort to see us. We loved every moment ! Vic, Linda, Avo and Avoa thank you for everything. It was great to see my brothers and spend time in the bush. Mom and Dad – we miss you already and cant wait for December.
