Ocean Beach Resort Central Coast

Yup, went camping again. Ocean Beach Resort on the central coast. You take the Gosford turn off and then the Woy Woy Road to your right. All the way to Umina beach. There you’ll find Ocean Beach Resort park – It’s part of the Big4 – facilities are awesome. It’s right on the beach, next to a little river. It’s a great swimming beach with some nice fishing rocks on the left. For any one following the Sydney Skate fishing saga over the past few weeks – yes he followed me to the Central Coast – It took about 20 min and I caught him again…. Then luckily I also caught some Taylor ( 4 of them ) was great.

Anne-Marie and I stayed in the old faithful tent on a un-powered site – It was beautifully green ( some mozzies ). Werner, Elise, Taylor, Safara, Rob and Eli stayed in a nice bungalow called Wagtail.

Only negative point on the weekend was that they stole our bicycles .. :-(
Anyway – one of those 15 things I suppose..

Skippers License

So that’s done as well – Always wanted to get the license – Now it’s done. It was a awesome day. We arrived at the Clubsail Australia office next to Newport Arms ( Pub on the northern beaches we have taken many visiting family and friends ). We did some theory in the morning and then some practical after lunch. Did the test late in the afternoon ( and passed !! ). So all that’s left now is to present the certificate to one of the New South Wales Maritime offices to get my official skippers license. Now all I need is a boat … :-)

Fishing in Feb

Well, it’s the 7th – I have been fishing three times this month and let me tell you – if I catch one more Sydney Skate I am going to skate myself. Picture below – Not sure – maybe there is one really loyal Sydney skate out there that likes to follow me around … :-)

Follow-up on the wallet – I sent some flowers to Karen and her daughter Taylor that posted my wallet back to me after the big day out on Australia day.

I booked Anne-Marie and I for a awesome trip to the Blues and Roots festival in Byron Bay over Easter – We are spoiling ourselves and flying in on the Thu. and leaving on the Mon. Got us a nice spot at the Beachcomber in Byron to stay – So look out for some photos from the festival – It should be awesome, all the big names will be there. A few waves at the end of Jan

What a awesome month it was. If this is what we can expect of 2007, we all have a great year to look forward to. With the wife away on business I had some time for a nice surf in the morning before work ( see photos below ) and some beach fishing with the boys planned for tonight.
