Eina ! – Every bone and ligament in my legs are screaming for help. What a experience - 64 000 people started at Hydepark in the City at 9 am to run, walk, skip or crawl their way to Bondi Beach 14 km away.
Anne-Marie and I joined what was called “Back of the Pack” and started this journey at around 10 am with a pleasant stroll. It was a beautiful August morning, 26 degrees with a slight breeze of relief every now and then to cool us down.
I timed us on 2 and a 1/2 hours to finish the race – but our official time will show something closer to 3 hours 15 min – It took a while to get going, there was simply too many people for the street to cope with at the starting line.
Some creative queuing and a lucky cab to North Sydney got us back home just after lunch. We spent the rest of Sunday sleeping on the coach :-)

Well done on getting out there and doing it…..fancy doing the bridge run/walk? It’s 4km’s shorter.
Yup – Count us in – When is it ?
